The Consulate of Switzerland is pleased to announce the opening of its Visa Application Centre operated by VFS in Mumbai. This site provides information on procedures applicable to residents in Western India and Bhutan who wish to apply for a visa to travel to Switzerland.

The visa applications will have to be submitted at Switzerland Visa Application Centre at Mumbai in accordance with the jurisdiction specified. All applications will be assessed by the Consulate of Switzerland at Mumbai.

For prospective applicants

Applicants who wish to apply for a visa to Switzerland, kindly read the information on this site carefully. The guidelines listed on this site will help you prepare your documents as accurately as possible. This will reduce the chances of your application being delayed or declined due to inadequate or incorrect submission of documents.

The Mumbai Switzerland Visa Application Centre would accept applications within the following jurisdiction areas:

Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry (UT), Daman & Diu, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Lakshadweep (UT) and Andaman & Nicobar.

All applications will be assessed by the Consulate of Switzerland at Mumbai. It may kindly be noted that Switzerland Visa Application Centre, Mumbai is unable to receive and process applications by courier / post; the applications must be submitted and collected either in person or by an authorised representative or a Travel Agent.

Applications accepted at Switzerland Visa Application Centre will be submitted on the next working day in the Embassy and Consulate. The time required to process Visa Applications is minimum of 5 working days for Mumbai under normal circumstances (excluding day of submission at VFS). In case a Representative or Travel Agent is coming to collect the passports/documents he/she needs to carry a Photo Id of himself/herself, applicant's passport photocopy and an authority letter from the applicant.
