This site provides information on procedures applicable to residents in North India and Bhutan who wish to apply for a visa to travel to Switzerland.

The visa applications will have to be submitted at Switzerland Visa Application Centre at New Delhi in accordance with the jurisdiction specified. All applications will be assessed by the Embassy of Switzerland at New Delhi only.

For prospective applicants

Applicants who wish to apply for a Switzerland visa, kindly read the information on this website carefully. The guidelines listed on this website will help you prepare your documents as accurately as possible. This will reduce the chances of your application being delayed or declined due to inadequate or incorrect submission of documents.

The Switzerland Visa Application Centre would accept applications within the following jurisdiction areas:

Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Bhutan.

All applications will be assessed by the Embassy of Switzerland at New Delhi only. Please note that Switzerland Visa Application Centre, New Delhi is unable to receive and process applications send by courier / post; the applications must be submitted and collected either in person or by an authorized representative or a Travel Agent.

Applications accepted at Switzerland Visa Application Centre will be submitted the next working day at the Embassy. The time required to process Visa Applications is a minimum of 5 working days under normal circumstances (excluding day of submission at VFS).

In case a Representative or Travel Agent is coming to collect the passports/documents he/she needs to carry a Photo Id of himself/herself, applicant's passport photocopy and an authority letter from the applicant.
